Carisma Proof Double Carrier Membrane 4.5mm

Description

Carisma Mineral PET is a plastomeric waterproofing membrane produced from bitumen modified with APP polymers. It draws attention with its features such as UV resistance, resistance to acidic and alkaline solutions, and thermal resistance in wide temperature ranges. It can be used in waterproofing of sloped or flat roofs, in wet areas and underground structures. Propane welding machine or mechanical connection methods are preferred during application, the sub-surface must be clean and smooth.

Product Description

Carisma PET is a plastomeric waterproofing membrane produced by advanced continuous calendering process. The synthetic carrier is impregnated and coated with a waterproofing compound made from a special bitumen class and modified with APP polymers. These modifications improve the thermal, mechanical and aging properties of the membrane compound, while the mechanical properties of Carisma are obtained by using a continuous filament non-woven polyester carrier that provides tensile strength, tear resistance, puncture resistance and elongation properties.

Key Features

  • Excellent UV resistance.
  • Provides advanced chemical resistance against acidic and alkaline solutions.
  • Offers enhanced thermal durability during wide temperature fluctuations.
  • Has sufficient isotropic mechanical properties.
  • Provides complete waterproofing.

Applications

Carisma membranes are used in single or multi-layer systems for general waterproofing needs in applications exposed to moderate mechanical stress. They are especially recommended in the following areas:

  • Waterproofing of sloped and flat protected roofs.
  • Waterproofing of wet areas, mechanical rooms, and terraces.
  • Waterproofing of underground structures.

Surface Coating

The bottom surface of Carisma mineral is laminated with a polyolefin film, while the top surface is coated with one of the following surface materials:

  • Mineral slate stones: (White – Grey – Green – Red)

Application Method

Carisma membranes are applied using a propane torch or mechanical fastening methods. The substrate must be clean, dry, smooth, and free from any irregularities. Depending on surface conditions, a water-based primer may be required before applying the membranes. Carisma can be applied fully bonded, partially bonded, or loose-laid, and the adhesion method to the substrate is determined based on the waterproofing system design. Side overlaps should be 12 – 15 cm.

Storage and Transportation

Carisma rolls should be stored vertically in a flat and well-ventilated storage area.
